Tonight was Daniel's Blue and Gold dinner for Cub Scouts. In Pack 202, we have a Parent/Child cake baking contest which serves as a fun and creative project as well as dessert.
This year's theme was The Great Outdoors. We thought about it and came up with a campfire cake, the challenge was exactly how to do it. I have to thank my friends Tracy, Val and Michelle for their inspirations and suggestions.
So here was the cast of characters:
(1) Tub of white icing
(1) Tub of chocolate icing
(3) Sara Lee Pound Cakes
(16) Rice Krispie Treats
(1) Red food coloring
(1) Graham Cracker
(1) Hershey Bar
(3) Marshmallows
(1) Multi Pack of fondant
(1) Red gel icing
(2) sticks from the back yard
Lots of creativity
I think it turned out well but we did not win. Not this year. But you just wait till next year!!!!!
Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.
