The Wetlands room is my favorite in the National Aviary because is contains my favorite bird, the Inca Tern, better knows as the Mustache Bird. I kept looking around and none were to be found, until I looked up. Apparently we came in not long after feeding time and most of them were hanging out near the ceiling.
Patience and persistence (and lots of bird photos) and one came down to join in the rest of the fun. Before I knew it, he was in the water and taking a bath. What a great moment to capture!
I am kind of glad it rained today. We had a lot of great photo ops despite the weather!
