Yes folks, it's another Giant Eagle shot. Stopped in the grocery store to pick up the ingredients to make a cherry pie for tomorrow and Shannon noticed these lovely little items. Ugli Fruit and yeah, it lives up to it's name.
We are going to try one, because, with a name like that, I am sure it has to be good or why would anyone buy it. We did Google it to find out more about it.
It actually has it's own website, which tells us its exclusively from Jamaica and it's a cross between an orange, tangerine and grapefruit. It was discovered growing wild over 80 years ago and has become commercialized and is now distributed under the Ugli brand name. We will be sure to let you all know how it tastes....
