Tonight was the last Band Festival of the 2016/2017 season. We finished up at Mt. Lebanon High School and were joined by Allderdice, Steel Valley, Burgettstown and California University of Pennsylvania. Our hosts also did special numbers with their color guard, drum line and front ensemble. Another outstanding night of music in western PA.
As our own Golden Eagles have performed over the past few weeks at festivals and football games, this final medley of Hey Jude, Sargent Pepper's and The End have come to be my favorite. The rocket toss by our color guard, Kaydeens and twirlers definitely "WOWs" the crowd!
I am still trying to find the perfect spot to shoot this but I had a good view tonight right on the 50 yard line and almost at the top of the stands.
(no instrumentalists were harmed during this toss)
