More Than Words (45/366)
I could say so much about these three little words, but somehow, I am sure what I wanted to convey would not come through as eloquently as the lyrics to one of my favorite Extreme songs.
Saying "I love you"
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It's not that I want you
Not to say, but if you only knew how easy
It would be to show me how you feel
More than words
Is all you have to do to make it real.
Then you wouldn't have to sat that you love me
'Cause I'd already know.
More Than Words-Extreme
Show your Valentine how much you love them, today and every day!
This blog began as my 366 Photo Project for 2012. Four years later, I want to take on the 366 Project again! Enjoy the world through my lens in 2016! Happy New Year!

Crystal Butterflies (44/366)
It was 18F this morning and I knew what that would mean when I headed out for work...scraping windows. I would rather brush snow than do this.
So after I loaded my goodies in the car and started it, I took a moment to check out the cool patterns that had formed on my windows.
Beauty can truly be found everywhere.
Someone painted pictures
on my windowpane last night.
Willow trees with trailing boughs
and flowers, frosty white.
And lovely crystal butterflies
But when the morning sun,
Touched them with it's golden beams
They vanished one by one

Why does it feel like? (43/366)
Well the day ended on a good note, but it started out with Dan not feeling so good and making a mess out of 10AM Mass. Since we had to make a quick exit and the Donut social would have wait for another Sunday, it did give me some much needed time to at least try to put a dent in the chores list. Then it was off to Marion Manor.
Our local Women's Club was sponsoring an Ice Cream Sundae Social along with an interesting dice game called Left, Center, Right. Everyone enjoyed the game and prizes and especially having the kids around that came to help.
As we were helping wheel some of the residents down to the Activity Room we passed this very cool fish tank and I told Shannon not to let me leave without a few shots. We both took a few pics and I think the nurses started to wonder about us...I would wonder anyway but that's a whole nother story....LOL
Then it was back home for laundry, dinner and some Excel Hell to end the day. Daniel, who couldn't keep a thing down earlier, was eating like it was his last supper. Pretty sure it was the dining choice of his father last night that set his stomach off and not a stomach bug. Which is a damn good thing because those things are pure EVIL!
I always feel like, somebody's watching me
and I have no privacy
I always feel like, somebody's watching me
Tell me is it just a dream?

Snowblind (42/366)
Awoken to a Winter Wonderland today. We actually have almost 3" outside and according to the Weather Channel, its going to snow all day. Hopefully we won't see more than 5" since I have a fun night out tonight with the girls. Which is the other reason I wanted to get the blog done now. Too much going on today and not sure when I will be home tonight.
This is my rose bush on the back patio. I am hoping to get it up to par this year so I can enjoy it but it does provide some interesting photos in the off season. I even broke out the big camera for this shot. I couldn't get close enough with the 4S and I wasn't much for standing in the snow in my bare feet and too lazy to get my boots.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Crystal world with winter flowers
Turns my day to frozen hours
Lying snowblind in the sun
Will my ice age every come......

Ladies and Gentlemen, Please (41/366)
You know, one of my favorite things with my blog is when I get the picture of the day before 8:30AM.
Today was another one of those days. Because then, no matter how crazy the day gets, I know I have that task accomplished and believe you me, the last few weeks have been insanely busy at best.
So let me tell you about Jon. Jon is the newest addition to our office and has given me faith that his generation has decent work ethics. My boss shared that on his first day (or in his interview, I am a bit fuzzy on this) he said he was here to "kick ass and chew gum, and he was all out of gum". I like this guy. He also commented when he saw the sign on my office door that reads: "Some people need a high five. To the face. With a chair.", that we were going to get along fine!
So this morning he shares with the group his first piece of "Office Art". Well I would have bet money he dented the bottom of the can but no. So I had to grab the camera and get a "monster" shot of this piece of "art". And then I checked it all out. No dent in the bottom and still contains some of the energy drink. Apparently just enough to allow the can to balance on it's side at an angle and not spill over.
OK, so I am sure some of you have seen this or done it...but I thought it was damn cool!
Ladies and Gentlemen, good evening
You've seen that seeing is believing
Your ears and eyes will be bleeding
Please check to see if you're still breathing
Hold on tight because the show is not over
If you please move in closer
You're about to be bowled over
By the wonders you're about to behold here

You are my sunshine! (40/366)
I think I need to start an album called Sunrise/Sunset on Green Tree Rd....LOL
After a very cold, gray snowy day yesterday, it was nice of Mother Nature to grace us with a beautiful day full of sunshine. Still very cold but the warmth of the sun on a Winter's day does more for my soul than it could on any day in June, July or August. As a Pittsburgher,I have learned to treasure our days with the bright orange orb because the Steel City is rated #2 on the list of cities with the least amount of sunshine.
So here I am on my way to work, traveling down Green Tree Rd and this time I caught the traffic light near some trees which offered a nice addition to the sunrise. I am sure I got some interesting looks from my fellow drivers with the window down and iPhone out, but I gotta do what I gotta do.
You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away.....

Of thee I sing (39/366)
Today was one of those days. The snow was falling, it was colder than it has been in a more than a few weeks and all I really wanted to do was stay in bed and watch bad "B" movies. But it was Wednesday, it was work and I was off.
For the last few months I had notice this little flag just outside the Parking Garage near my office. It was one of those things that you see every day but never really pay attention to. I kept meaning to snap a photo of it and today, with the snow I finally took the opportunity.
Now I don't want to get into a debate about the current state of our Nation, but I know I would never want to live anywhere else. This little flag reminded me that no matter what, we stand strong, we weather the storms and come out with flying colors on the other side.
Be proud of our country, be proud for being American and don't be afraid to lend a hand. If more of us took an interest in our country, we might just be able to change things that need it.
My country 'tis of thee
(Today)
Sweet land of liberty
(Today)
Of thee I sing
(Today)
Of thee I sing
